Dr. Thomas Bircher is a 1984 graduate of Illinois Weselyan University with a bachelor of Biology degree.  He graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1989 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.  After graduation he worked in private practices in Quincy and Washington, IL, and on staff at the childrens dental clinic of the Peoria City/County Health Department.  He completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry through SIU in 1992 and has been practicing in Smithton since then.

Drs. Tom and Meg have over 40 years of combined clinical dental experience.  Throughout their careers they have continued to take courses in implant dentistry, pain management, cosmetic dentistry as well as orthodontic and restorative care.

Both doctors are members of the Academy of General Dentistry, the St. Clair District Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association.

Drs. Tom and Meg have been married since 1991 and have three children.
